the tips for maintaining aluminum sliding windows
Aluminum windows have excellent performance and durability and are popular with modern families. However, if the aluminum window is improperly operated during the following installation process, not only will it not be able to exert its excellent performance, it may also cause a safety accident.

1. Marking and positioning

Measure the window edge line to both sides according to the installation position, size, and window centerline of the window in the design drawing. If it is a multi-story or high-rise building, take the edge of the top window as the standard, use a thread drop or theodolite to draw the edge of the window down, and mark the windows on each floor. Individual non-straight edges should be picked up.

2. Anti-corrosion treatment

The anti-corrosion treatment of the outer surface around the aluminum window frame needs to be treated according to the design requirements. If the design does not require it, you can apply anticorrosive paint or paste a plastic film for protection, so as to prevent the cement mortar from directly contacting the surface of the aluminum window, causing an electrochemical reaction, resulting in corrosion and erosion of the aluminum window. When installing aluminum alloy windows, it is best to use stainless steel (stainless and acid-resistant steel) as the connecting piece.

3. Installing the aluminum window in place

Install the aluminum alloy window frame according to the drawn window positioning line. And adjust the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal length of the window frame in time, and then temporarily fix it with a wooden wedge.

4. Fixing aluminum windows

When iron parts are embedded on the wall, the iron feet of the aluminum window can be directly welded to the embedded iron parts on the wall, and the welding place needs to be rust-proof. When there are no embedded iron parts on the wall, metal expansion bolts or plastic expansion bolts can be used to fix the iron feet of the aluminum alloy window to the wall.

5. Treatment of the gap between the window frame and the wall

After the aluminum window is installed and fixed, a concealed project should be checked and accepted first, and the gap between the window frame and the wall should be processed in time according to the design requirements. If the design does not require it, elastic insulation materials (used in industry and construction) or glass felt strips can be used to fill the gaps in layers, leaving 5-8mm deep grooves on the outer surface to fill in grease or sealant.

6. Installation of the window sash and window glass

The window sash and window glass shall be installed after the completion of the decoration on the surface of the opening wall. If it is an aluminum sliding window, after the window frame is installed and fixed, install the window sash with glass into the chute in the frame, and adjust the gap with the window sash.
